Have you ever felt scared to try something new, like speaking in front of your class, making a new friend, or riding your bike without training wheels? Sometimes, being brave can feel really hard. But guess what? You’re not alone—God is always with you!
When Joshua became the leader of the Israelites, he had a big job ahead of him: leading the people into the Promised Land. It wasn’t easy, but God reminded Joshua to be strong and courageous because He would be with him every step of the way.
Lesson: God Gives Us Courage
Whenever you feel scared or unsure, remember that God is by your side. You don’t have to face anything alone! Just like God helped Joshua, He will help you too. Trust in His strength and His presence.
Activity: Courage Builder 💪
- Think of something that makes you nervous. Write it down and say a prayer, asking God to help you be strong and brave.
- Make a “Courage Card” by drawing a picture of you being strong with God by your side. Keep it in your room to remind you that you are never alone.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for being with me wherever I go. Help me to be strong and courageous, even when I feel scared. Thank You for Your love and strength. Amen.
