Verse: “When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall.” – Nehemiah 12:30
Hi Stars! 🌟
Have you ever cleaned your room before a special guest came over? In today’s verse, the priests and Levites purified, or cleaned, themselves and everything around them because they wanted to honor God. They prepared their hearts and their city to show their love and respect for Him.
Just like they cleaned and purified the gates and walls, we can keep our hearts clean by asking God to forgive us and help us make good choices. When our hearts are pure, we can better share God’s love and reflect His light.
Lesson: A Clean Heart Pleases God
God loves it when we prepare our hearts for Him by being kind, forgiving, and honest. Purifying our hearts means we turn away from wrong choices and focus on what pleases Him.
Activity: Heart Check-Up 💖
- Draw a big heart and write “God’s Love” inside it. Around the heart, write things you can do to keep your heart pure, like “pray,” “be kind,” or “say sorry when I’m wrong.”
- Talk with your family about ways to prepare your heart for God every day.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for helping me keep my heart clean and pure. Teach me to turn away from wrong choices and focus on loving You and others. Help me to honor You with everything I do. Amen.
Remember, Stars, a pure heart shines with God’s love. Let’s prepare our hearts every day to honor Him and share His goodness! 🌟💖✨
